Community Time

Community time takes place every Wednesday morning from approximately 8:30 am to 8:50 am in the quad (in front of the K and 1st grade rooms) or the multi-purpose room (when it’s cold or raining). It’s a time during which information is shared, awards are given out and upcoming events are announced. Sometimes there are even plays or announcements from our student council regarding fun events they have planned or special themed-days such as crazy hair day or sports day.

The entire student body is present, as well as, the principal, the teachers and any parents who wish to attend. It’s important for as many families to attend as possible. This is an important time for parents to hear announcements that they might otherwise overlook in cheetah chatter or in flyers. It also shows the staff and children of Lu Sutton that our parents are interested and involved in what happens at our school.
