Outstanding Faculty
At Lu Sutton, 100% of our teachers are highly qualified according to No Child Left Behind requirements and actively pursue professional development opportunities to support classroom instruction. In addition to our 20 full time teachers, we also have a resource specialist, a special day class teacher, five Title I instructional assistants, three part-time music teachers, a PE specialist, and an English Language instructional assistant. Before/after school intervention teachers, a part-time school psychologist, computer technician, library media specialist, and school nurse round out our additional support team.
School Fuel is one of our dearest partnerships, founded, in part, by a previous Lu Sutton parent. Their support allows our students to receive physical education, music, and art taught by qualified professionals from these fields. School Fuel has also awarded grants for art supplies, field trips, and additional enrichment activities for our students. Together we form a professional learning community committed to doing "whatever it takes" to ensure our students’ success.
